R G Carter Limited are seeking to recruit an Apprentice Construction Planner to join their established team of professionals, based in their Drayton office. The successful candidate will work alongside an experienced planner and will be involved in a diverse range of interesting and challenging projects across multiple sectors. The successful applicant will begin studies on a Level 4 Construction Site Supervisor. This qualification is delivered online and includes guided learning as well as independent learning and reading. On completion you will move onto study a suitable degree.

Key Responsibilities

  • As an Apprentice Construction Planner you will be instrumental in planning the project timeline throughout the pre-construction and construction phase delivering good quality programmes and logistic plans. Our aim is to approach planning in a way that actively understands risks and seeks opportunities for innovation so that we can successfully execute a quality project on time for our customers. Your role will include visiting sites to develop your construction knowledge which will provide a good understanding of build processes, sequencing and logistical requirements.

Key Skills & Knowledge

  • Good organisation skills
  • Computer skills - need to be proficient on Microsoft Office packages (preferably with experience of the 2010 suite – Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Good, clear telephone manner is essential as there will be client interface during the daily works, including Teams meetings
  • A strong work ethic is essential.
  • Team player with the ability to work under pressure
  • Applicants must be 18 or over
  • Must have the right to work in the UK
