Watton Junior School
R G Carter constructed a new 16-place Social Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) base located in the grounds of Watton Junior School.
Named The Apollo Building, the 290sqm bespoke learning environment, contains two classrooms, breakout spaces, sensory spaces, rooms for staff and family meetings and a large practical space for lunches as well as for extra learning opportunities such as cooking. It also sits within its own secure play area.
A handover event brought local councillors, Norfolk County Council representatives, the Mayor, school governors, teachers, pupils and R G Carter together to celebrate the official opening with Helen Kemp, Head Teacher.
A time capsule which was donated by R G Carter was also buried to celebrate the completion of the building.
