On Wednesday 10th May, R G Carter attended the opening Gala for the new Cineworld in Ely, Cambridgeshire.

Companies that attended included G&W Contracting and Kershaw as well as Spotted in Ely. Mayor of Ely and Chair to the Council, Ian Lindsay, was also in attendance on the evening.

Canapés were served in the Foyer along with champagne and wine.

The new King Arthur film was shown at 8pm, directly after a speech from the developer and the new general manager of the branch.

Matthew Shaw, Cineworld Ely General Manager, said: “We have such an exciting line-up of films coming up, like Disney’s ‘Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales’ and ‘Baywatch’, and look forward to welcoming the community to share our passion for film.”.
