At Thurston Extra Care Scheme, the R G Carter team donated surplus materials from site, to help create positive social value at their local college.

Items such as unistrut brackets, lintels, cable trays and timber were delivered to West Suffolk College in Bury St Edmunds, to enhance student’s practical skills undertaking construction trades courses such as Electrical, Carpentry and Bricklaying.

One of the R G Carter team Henry Nott, was a former pupil at the college and so it was a nice surprise for staff to see his return and rewarding for Henry, who knew just how useful these donations would be. The team were given a tour of departments in the college including the T-Level
Department, who are looking forward to working with R G Carter with future work experience placements.
