Will Loades, Project Manager
Will excelled as a bricklayer to the extent that he took part in the national SkillBuild competition making him one of the best bricklayers in the country at the time. Achieving an NVQ level 4 in Site Management at a very young age, he went on to manage some very prestigious contracts, including large domestic contracts for important clients. He has also often been seconded to our Norwich company due to his knowledge of traditional building skills and materials.
Will has achieved his NVQ4 and NVQ6 in Site Management and is now proudly Project Manager within the Property Development team, where he maintains and oversees internal assets and estates within the
R G Carter Group.
Gary Mann, Director
Gary was one of the youngest apprentice carpenters to join R G Carter at our Drayton office. Becoming an established and competent carpenter in a short space of time, he quickly developed an interest in Site management, running sites in Building Solutions and later on to main contracts. Before long he became a fully-fledged Site Manager, able to take responsibility for any size contract and was recently Project Manager on the conversion of St Stephens Towers in Norwich.
Looking for new challenges, Gary then joined our Property Development team, where he worked as a Surveyor and Construction Manager developing his skills in the property industry, and more recently has been appointed Director for the Bullen Group.
Chloe Mcguire, Contracts Manager
Chloe joined R G Carter in 2016 as a Management Trainee. Completing the rotations in each department such as Quantity Surveying, Contract Management and Estimating, Chloe then focussed on site management for prestigious projects such as Winerack Apartments in Ipswich. She is now a project lead within the Contracts Management Department.
During Chloe’s apprenticeship, she was nominated for apprentice of the year as a reflection of her commitment to the role.
Chloe is currently in her final year of completing her University Degree in Construction Management and on way to completing her RICS Accreditation.
Will Robinson, Construction Manager
Will joined R G Carter as an apprentice bricklayer back in 2001. After achieving his level two and three qualifications, along with an NVQ in Senior Site Management and NEBOSH, he was quick to move into Site Management, running many successful prestigious projects.
To date, Will is now Construction Manager for the Cambridge area, and has delivered a number of schemes for the LGSS School Frameworks and continue to work in and around the Colleges and Universities of Cambridge.
Lindsey Howard, Group Marketing Co-ordinator.
Starting in Office Administration in 2006 within Corporate and Finance, Lindsey’s attention to detail, organisational and accuracy skills soon became apparent, enabling her to develop a new role as Group Insurance Administrator. Managing claims for the Firm, the role developed Lindsey’s written communication skills and data reporting, highlighting a clear Marketing path to fulfil her creative potential.
In 2014, Lindsey became Group Marketing Co-ordinator, allowing her flair for communication, presentation and analysis to flourish. The role continues to develop both her design and digital skills, where she now develops a variety of marketing materials and website and social media content.
Mario Rackham, Director and General Manager
Mario Rackham started his career as a carpenter, enrolling direct from school on an apprenticeship with the Firm. Further to becoming expert in his craft trade, he quickly progressed to becoming a Site Manager, and onto Contracts Manager, working on a variety of high profile projects.
Showing skills within client liaison, construction and people, Mario became Director and General Manager, and is now responsible for the delivery and management of our Drayton office and construction projects across the Norfolk area.
Luke Waldock, Site Manager
Luke has worked with at R G Carter with the Cambridge team for 16 years, having started as a Painter and Decorating apprentice. After many years of working within Building Solutions, Luke has in the past six years, worked on large contracts and found his passion for site management.
The last three years he has worked on the office projects on Station Road in Cambridge, which has provided Luke with the perfect projects to demonstrate his skills and experience needed to fulfil his NVQ Level 6 in Site Management.
