Our R G Carter Building Solutions team have been working to deliver a Highways Gritter Store at the North Willingham depot near Market Rasen. The existing vehicle store was in need of replacement; heavily corroded and the vehicle bay sizes were too small for the stock of enhoused gritter lorries.
The team worked with Lincolnshire County Council and our inhouse design services CDG, to design and construct a new portal framed building to provide storage for eight gritters and associated snowplough attachments. The building is clad on three sides with the front elevation fully open for vehicle entry and exit.
The project was delivered on budget and on time, all in readiness for the imminent winters months.
