For future generations, a time capsule was placed in a chimney earlier this month, on the first floor of the renovation we are delivering at Ely Museum.
Phil Jeakins, the museum’s education assistant helped hide the capsule, which included; a letter from staff to future staff, a copy of the Ely Standard Newsletter, two small popular toys and a sample of special Fenland soil!
When completed, this project renovation in the Old Goal will to allow more visitors to view its wonderful historic collections.
