Watling Lower School

R G Carter were appointed under the NHS SBS Construction Works Framework to deliver upgrade works to the school during the summer holidays.

An existing mobile classroom firstly had to be demolished and removed, with the team then repaired the broken asphalt in the car park by resurfacing the 500sqm car park with fresh tarmac and asphalt. The works also encompassed sorting new drainage and putting in new access steps onto the playing field. On the building itself, they also replaced 3 windows from timber to double glazed aluminium and replaced the cladding.

The works were delivered within a six week period to ensure zero disruption to the School’s day-to-day activities.

As part of our sustainable approach to the project, all aluminium, cooper, cable, plasterboard and timber waste was kept separately and recycled accordingly.
