Whipps Cross Maternity Unit & Theatres

The construction of an extension to the existing maternity unit, two operating theatres and associated facilities, breakthrough of the corridor into existing maternity unit, plant room and associated infrastructures / external works / drainage was delivered for Barts Health NHS Trust.

Works were undertaken on a busy live hospital site, and the project received high praise for our considerate approach to managing construction activities around the patients and staff.

Additionally, the existing maternity building remained occupied and operational throughout the course of the works.

The scheme achieved the rating of BREEAM Very Good.
