We were pleased to welcome Orwell Multi-Academy Trust to celebrate on site, the start of construction for the new primary school and pre-school in Stowmarket. Named ‘Grace Cook Primary School’ after British Astronomer Alice Grace Cook (1877-1958) who lived in the town, it is located within Northfield View housing development, previously known as Chilton Leys.
Funded through Suffolk County Council’s capital programme the school aims to help ease the pressure on local schools due to the expansion of housing in the area and will open for the Autumn term of 2022.
