On Friday 1st November, guests from King’s College, R G Carter and Claude N Smith Limited gathered to celebrate the final roof slate being laid at Bodley’s Court, King’s College.
Rob Carter presented the Provost of King’s College, Michael Proctor, with an engraved trowel to commemorate this important milestone within the renovation project.
Guests were escorted on a rooftop tour to witness the craftmanship and quality of the completed work up close prior to the scaffolding being struck. The crane will also be removed from site in the upcoming weeks; an intricate operation that will see it transported past the Gibbs Building and world famous Chapel before passing through the Gatehouse and Screen on King’s Parade.
