Rosecroft Primary School
This brand new primary school and nursery in Attleborough, now known as Rosecroft Primary, was part of a programme by Norfolk County Council to create better education facilities across Norfolk, by focusing on the region’s growing communities.
The primary school provides classrooms; group rooms; a central library; a multi-purpose hall and dining hall for 630 pupils. The 52-place nursery located alongside the primary school, will also provide two nursery rooms with WC facilities, along with a shared kitchen and administration areas.
Along with their unique modern designs, incorporating zinc clad roofs, both the primary school and the nursery benefit from solar panels, sustainable swales drainage with external areas; along with a ‘food growing garden’.
R G Carter worked collaboratively with the school to ensure teaching supplies and furniture were brought in over the Christmas period, allowing the children to start their first term in January 2018.
During the project, R G Carter donated equipment to the art department and ran a poster competition for the hoarding, which was open to pupils at Attleborough Infant School.
