The refurbishment and extension project at Chelmsford based Broomfield Care Village is now in its final stages, as the team complete the details to the gardens, landscaping and balconies, and finishing decorative touches inside.
The existing building, derelict when the project started, was initially stripped back to its steel frame, internally and externally to reveal the vast skeleton of the superstructure. The reconfiguration of new spaces required complex temporary and permanent works designed by Carter Design Group, which over the last 18 months, enabled the team to gradually transform the building into a 137-bed luxury residential, nursing and dementia facility.
Principle Care Homes has already welcomed its first few residents.
