Tesco Superstore Refurbishment

Refurbishment & capital refrigeration replacement works have been undertaken at Tesco Cambridge and involved reconfiguring the entire sales floor and updating the store to Tesco’s latest design principles.
The shop floor space went through a full optimisation to reduce the footprint of the store but maintain the same offer and availability to customers, due to the previous format being spaced out and a long customer journey. Reconfiguring the shop allowed for the replacement and relocation of all fridge and frozen cabinets, installing the new two-tier produce concepts to front of store. The remainder of ambient shelving was fully reconfigured to new layout and new concepts installed with this.
The space created by optimising the current shop floor allows for Tesco to introduce a third-party tenant to their store, increasing the offer to customers in the local area.
