At Rattlesden Church of England Primary Academy School near Bury St Edmunds, our R G Carter team have been working on a six-week refurbishment project for Thedwastre Education Trust over the school holidays with the aim to complete before the children return.
In the oldest part of this Victorian school, built in 1872, our team of carpenters are replacing the oak casement and sash windows for new ones like-for-like. They are also replacing the external wooden doors, including the unique main front arch way entrance.
This picturesque village in Suffolk has been a conservation area since 1975, ensuring any changes to buildings are in keeping with the area’s character. Lovely to see the school refurbished to its former glory.
