In Eye, Suffolk our Building Solutions team have been working at the NHS Hartismere Hospital, an NHS Property Services Ltd Building, replacing nearly 200 windows and fascias and 33 doors on this early 20th century building.

Having now completed almost 85% of the works, with just the last of the fire rated doors and windows to complete, the building is now almost fully transformed! Here you can see members of our team can be seen here at the front of the transformed hospital where scaffolding has now been struck.

The windows were a variety of sizes and shapes, from 2m high timber sash windows and arch-shaped in style, to small modern windows; all at different heights creating a complex scaffolding challenge for the team.

Opened in 1916, this historic hospital was originally the Hartismere and Hoxne Infirmary, and now specialises in Orthopaedics and Geriatric care.
